Local Artist Shirley Darland
Ms. Shirley is a local artist and teacher at the Music and Arts Studios. She used to teach at Cleveland Elementary School. Now she lives on a farm with horses, donkeys, goats, and her three dogs who are all a source of inspiration! In her woods she has seen baby fox, raccoons, and an owlette, as well as snakes, deer, turkeys. Find Ms. Shirley on Facebook and Instagram.

All you need is a sidewalk or driveway and some sidewalk chalk. Make some hopscotch boards with fun patterns and shapes with Ms. Shirley. Then play hopscotch with your family! Or watch from your window as your neighbors walk by and give it a try!

We want to stay connected to our creative students when we get back to the new normal. While you are here, learn more about the Eastern Iowa Arts Academy.
