Local Artist Russ Fagle
Russ is a graphic artist and musician based in Cedar Rapids. He has worked with many students in our After School Enrichment Program and at The Music and Arts Studios, teaching both art and music classes.
Let's draw a couple of chefs!
Local Cedar Rapids artist, Russ Fagle walks you through how to illustrate cartoon human characters. This video features chefs. Allow yourself to exaggerate the "human form" to make a quirky character of your very own. Let your imagination run wild. What if the chef played guitar? What if a ginger root was larger than life? What makes a character look more "feminine" or "masculine"? Don't be afraid to start drawing and see where your lines take you. You can always erase or add lines as your character takes on a life of its own.
